The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) reached a new 15-month record of 80.29 dollars at the start of the week, the Vienna-based organization said Tuesday, DPA reported.
One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC-produced crude oil gained 0.35 dollars on Monday.
OPEC's 12 member countries produce 34 per cent of global oil supplies.
