U.S ascertains increase of oil extraction in Caspian Sea

Average oil extraction in the countries of the Caspian region hit 15.95 million barrels in January-October 2009 or 330,000 barrels more than in the same period of 2008. The U.S Energy Information Administration (EIA) voiced these figures.

According to EIA monthly report on world oil, Caspian countries' average oil extraction hit 16.254 million barrels per day in October compared to 15.565 million in October 2008.

According to EIA, average oil extraction hits 1,011 million barrels per day in Azerbaijan in January-October 2009, 4.03 million barrels in Iran, 1.438 million barrels in Kazakhstan, 9.468 million barrels in Russia.
