SOCAR's department has completed the processing and interpretation of data obtained from two-dimensional geophysical studies on land plots "Lokbatan-Puta-Gushhana," SOCAR's geophysics and geology department said.
As a result of a comprehensive analysis of seismic data and wells, the geological structure of deposits "Lokbatan-Puta-Gushhana" and the surrounding areas was clarified.
The structural maps of the various horizons of a productive layer and precipitation were drawn out.
The data obtained from a promising oil-gas content of the lower reservoir layers and diatomic precipitation can create conditions for further search and exploration.
Research in these fields was launched in April and completed in June 2009. Research was made by methods of a common depth point and a turning wave, a source said.
Azneft PU included in SOCAR is a customer of operations in these fields.
There are 59 oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan. About 18 are offshore, the rest - onshore ones.
