U.S. projects 6-percent increase in Azerbaijan's oil production

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) forecasts that in 2011, Azerbaijan's oil production will grow by 6 percent up to 1.21 million barrels per day compared to 1.14 million barrels per day in 2010.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) forecasts that in 2011, Azerbaijan's oil production will grow by 6 percent up to 1.21 million barrels per day compared to 1.14 million barrels per day in 2010.

Based on EIA forecast, in 2011, the largest volume of oil production in Azerbaijan will be observed in the second quarter - 1.22 million barrels per day. In the first quarter of next year, the country's oil production will amount to 1.21 million barrels per day, in the third - 1.2 million and in the fourth - 1.18 million barrels per day.

In the first quarter of 2010, Azerbaijan's oil production will amount to 1.1 million bpd, in the second and third - 1.14 million bpd and in the fourth - 1.16 million bpd, the agency reported.

According to the agency's forecasts, oil supplies by the countries of the former Soviet Union will amount to 13.18 million bpd in 2010 and 13.14 million barrels per day in 2011.

In 2010, the volume of Kazakhstan's oil supply will amount to 1.65 million barrels per day and 1.71 million barrels per day in 2011. In 2010, Turkmenistan will supply about 0.2 million barrels per day. In 2010, the country's oil supply will increase by 0.21 million barrels per day, the EIA forecasted.

Based on EIA estimates, in 2010, total oil production by non-OPEC countries will grow by 0.42 million barrels per day up to 50.71 million barrels per day. In 2011, EIA predicts decline in oil supply by these countries to 50.57 million barrels per day.


According to the EIA forecasts, in 2010, OPEC's oil production will amount to 29.49 million barrels per day and 30.02 in 2011.
