Iran to sign contracts to develop South Pars project

A contract is being prepared to develop South Pars' phases 27 and 28. This contract will be signed with Chinese companies by Feb. 20, National Iranian Oil Company Director Seyfulla Dzhashnsaz, the Mehr news agency said.

Dzhashnsaz said about 50 million cubic meters of gas, 80,000 barrels of condensate and 400 tons of sulfur per day, one million tons of liquefied gas and the same amount of ethane per year are planned to be produced in 27 and 28 phases of South Pars project.

So far, Chinese companies have been working in the oilfields Yadavaran, North Azadegan and in phase 11 of the project South Pars, the report said.

Moreover, Iran has agreed with various Chinese companies contract for the purchase of drilling platforms. The issues related to oil field development projects South Azadegan, gas field Kish and the construction of the pipeline Neka-Dzhask were also discussed with Chinese companies.
