Ekol muhendislik xidmetleri CJSC (engineering services) will hold bioremediation of drilling and oil slimes at SOCAR's (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) fields. Ekol CJSC is potential contractor, said in the statement on CJSC website.
According to the plan, envisaged operations should be held at Oil and Gas Producing Department named after Z.Tagiyev (nine hectares), Oil and Gas Producing Department "Siyazanneft" (15 hectares), Oil and Gas Producing Department "Absheronneft" (44 hectares) and Muradkhanli field (five hectares).
Azerbaijan has 59 oil and gas fields, 18of which are offshore and the rest - onshore.
Co-founders of Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri are: SOCAR (51 percent) and Lancer S.A. Services (49 percent). Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri was established on March 1, 2006 to solve ecological problems on the Absheron Peninsula, SOCAR's official Web site says.
