Two companies show interest in construction of hydroelectric power stations in Ajaria

Turkish Kuraenergy and Georgian GranmarGeorgia are interested in construction of hydropower plants in Ajaria.

At this stage, proposals submitted by these companies are studied, the Georgian Ministry of Energy said. Later the Ministry will choose the investor offering the best conditions, and take a final decision together with the government.

Three hydroelectric power plants must be built on the river Acharistskali. According to preliminary information, the power of Acharistskali 1 will be 26,46 megawatts, Acharistskali 2 - 13,76 megawatts, and Acharistskali 3 - 6.09 megawatts.
