EIA notes increase in oil production in Caspian region in 2009

Daily oil production in the Caspian region in Jan.-Dec. 2009 was 15.993 million barrels or 0.371 million barrels more compared to the same period in 2008, Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported.

Daily oil production in the Caspian region in Jan.-Dec. 2009 was 15.993 million barrels or 0.371 million barrels more compared to the same period in 2008, Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported.

According to the EIA monthly world oil report, daily oil production of the Caspian countries in December was 16.172 million barrels compared to 15.684 million barrels in December 2008.

According to the EIA, daily oil production in Azerbaijan was 1.006 million barrels, in Iran it was 4.037 million barrels, in Kazakhstan it was 1.455 million barrels and in Russia it was 9.495 million barrels in Jan.-Dec. 2009.
