KazTransOil ups oil transportation in Jan.-Feb.

In January-February 2010, KazTransOil transported about 8.3 million tons compared to 7.75 million tons in the same period of 2009, the company said.

The cargo turnover via the main pipelines of the KazTransOil amounted to 5 billion tons kilometers.

In January-February 2010, about 2.24 million tons of oil pumped into the Atirau-Samara pipeline for further transit to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus compared to 2.77 million tons in the same period of 2009.

The volume of oil transportation via the Atasu-Alashankou pipeline was about 1.6 million tons in the report period compared to 635,000 tons in the same period of 2009.

In January-February 2010, transportation of Russia's oil pipeline via the TON-2 section, located on the Kazakh territory hit about 856,000 tons compared to 845,000 tons in the same period of 2009.
