Dates to sign memorandum on delivery of Azerbaijani gas via Black Sea determined

Azerbaijan, Georgia and Romania will sign a memorandum on the project of transportation of Azerbaijani gas to European gas network through the Black Sea April 8, the source at the oil and gas market reported.

Presently, construction issue of the processing terminal of Azerbaijani gas in Georgia's Black Sea coast (SOCAR owns the oil terminal In Kulevi) and its transportation by vessels to Romania or Bulgaria for further shipment to domestic gas network of Europe is considered.

The project is considered in two directions - LNG and CNG. First is the construction of gas liquefaction plant and the second is delivery of gas directly to the ship for its compression. This project covers about 7-20 billion cubic meters of gas.
