The State oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will sell two consignments of Azerbaijani oil with volume of 215,000 tons from Novorossiysk in February. Oil from Novorossiysk will be shipped in two consignments, one 135 tons and other - 80 tons.
In April, the port will load 3.2mln tons of oil.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) ships its oil via the Novorossiysk port.
Azerbaijan exports URALS oil from the Novorossiysk port, which is delivered via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. The high quality Azerbaijani oil, including Azeri Light, is blended with other oil brands in the Russian pipeline system and is sold from the Novorossiysk Port as URAL.
In 2009, SOCAR transported about 2.5mln tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline compared to 1.2mln in 2008.
In 2010, SOCAR plans to pump 2.25 million tons of oil into the Baku-Novorossiysk. In the second quarter of 2010, SOCAR will pump 600,000 tons of the Azerbaijani oil through the Baku-Novorossiysk compared to 450,000 tons in the first quarter
