All processes in Mingachevir reservoir are under the control of "Azerenergy" (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan). There is no danger of emergency here, Azerenergy spokesman Alekper Bakhshaliyev said.
Due to heavy rains and melting snow in the regions of Azerbaijan, water in rivers and reservoirs increased. Mingchyachevir hydroelectric power stations with capacity of 330 megawatts is located at Mingachevir reservoir. The station consists of six units.
