Azerbaijan, Baku, May 18 / Trend S.Suleymanov /

Kazakhstan could supply fuel and lubricants to Kyrgyzstan on a regular basis, a source at the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant (PPP) reported.

PPP has delivered 12,000 tons of fuel and lubricants to Kyrgyzstan under assistance from the Kazakh government, the source said.

The government decided to supply fuel and lubricants to Kyrgyzstan one month ago.

Most petroleum products are supplied to Kyrgyzstan from a refinery in Omsk, which is much farther from Bishkek than PPP.

"Kazakh oil companies have shown great neglect and missed out on the Kyrgyz market," the source said.

The petroleum products demand on the Kyrgyz market is 50,000-60,000 tons per month, the source said.

Kazakh oil companies could also supply petroleum products to the Tajik market, which is already occupied by Russian companies, the source said.

The total capacity of Kazakhstan's oil refineries is around 18.5 million tons of oil a year.
