SOCAR has put into operation a new oil and gas well in offshore field "Alat Deniz" in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, a statement said.
The well was put into operation on a platform of "Alat-Deniz 63". About 30 tons of oil and 12,000 cubic meters of gas are produced every day from a depth 3,441-3,431 meters.
Well was drilled by the department of offshore exploration drilling. The well was delivered to the oil and gas production department named after N. Narimanov.
At present, there are 59 fields in Azerbaijan, 18 of which are offshore.
