"Azerbaijan", the largest power plant in the South Caucasus, which generates about 45 percent of all power produced in the country, in May 2010 generated more than 318.8 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is 1.8 million kilowatt-hours more than projected, JSC Azerenergy said.
During five months, the amount of production was about 2.2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity at the power plant.
The station consists of eight energy blocks with a capacity of 300 MW each.
