In January-June, SOCAR (except joint ventures and operating companies) drilled 71,374 meters compared to 94,028 meters in January-June 2009, SOCAR said.
According to the report, about 69,460 meters fell to exploring drilling, and the remaining 1,914 meters - on prospecting drilling (including 462 meters - test drilling).
In June, SOCAR drilled 13,176 meters compared to 13,919 meters in June last year.
SOCAR drilled 168.200 meters in 2009 compared to about 203,000 meters in 2008. This figure was 190,376 meters in 2007.
