Novorossiysk Port increases shipments of oil-related products

The Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk shipped 20.5 million tons of oil in January-June 2010, compared to 22.1 million tons during the same period last year.

The Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk shipped 20.5 million tons of oil in January-June 2010, compared to 22.1 million tons during the same period last year.

Some 6.67 million tons of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port oil products were shipped in January-June 2009, compared to over 6.5 million tons during the same period in 2008.

A total of 42.15 million tons of various cargo were transported in January-June 2010, compared to 43.27 million tons during the same period last year.

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) is shipping its own gas via the port. In January-June 2010, SOCAR exported roughly 1.05 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, compared to 1.23 million tons in January-June 2009. Roughly 168,000 tons of oil were exported via the pipeline in June, compared to about 170,550 tons in the same period of 2009..

SOCAR exported about 2.5 million tons via the Baku-Novorossiysk in 2009, compared to 1.2 million tons in 2008. Roughly 1.2 million tons of oil were exported via the pipeline in 2007, which is similar to the 2006 figure. In 2005, Baku-Novorossiysk exported 1.6 million tons of oil.
