Azerenergy is working to improve the power supply in Baku and surrounding villages.
The company is upgrading the Mushfig substation in an effort to stabilize supplies. Two transformers each with a capacity of 250 megawatts are being installed at the substation. A third 200-megawatt transformer will soon be installed. The company intends to install another 200-megawatt autotransformer at the Hovsan substation.
Azerenergy is also carrying out the technical renovation of the Gala substation. The company will replace a 40-megawatt transformer with a 75/63-megawatt transformer. Upgrades have also been carried out at the Dubendi, Zig and Surakhani substations. The company replaced a 30-megawatt substation transformer with a 63-megawatt transformer at the Ramani substation and installed a third 250-megawatt transformer at the Khirdalan substation.
