Uzbekistan decreases oil and condensate production by almost 20 percent in January-June

Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company (NHC), monopolistic operator of oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan in January-June 2010 decreased production of liquid hydrocarbons (oil and gas condensate) by 19.7 percent to 1.895 million tons compared to the same period of 2009, State Statistics Committee of the Uzbek Republic said.

Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company (NHC), monopolistic operator of oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan in January-June 2010 decreased production of liquid hydrocarbons (oil and gas condensate) by 19.7 percent to 1.895 million tons compared to the same period of 2009, State Statistics Committee of the Uzbek Republic said.

Gas condensate production also decreased by 25.3 per cent - to 859,700 tons, oil - by 14.3 percent - to 1,035 million tons.

From early 2010, Uzbekneftegaz decreased gasoline production by 12.4 percent - to 692,500 tons, kerosene - by 8 percent to 181,900 tons, diesel fuel - by 12 percent, to 588,300 tons, furnace fuel oil - on 34,2 percent, to 185.3 thousand tons, bitumen - to 7.1 percent, to 98.8 thousand tons, hydrocarbon liquefied gases - by 0,9 percent to 125,200 tons.

In January-June 2010, natural gas production decreased by 3.8 percent - to 30,548 billion cubic meters.

It was reported that in 2009 liquid hydrocarbons production in Uzbekistan decreased by 7.4 percent compared to 2008- to 4.455 million tons

Uzbekneftegaz was established in 1998 and brings together six joint stock companies.
