Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug.6 / Trend, E. Ismayilov /

For the first time, JSC Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan) conducts integrated introduction of quality management standards ISO 9001 and ecological management system ISO 14001 in Azerbaijan, head of Azerenergy Ecological Department Zaur Mammadov said today.

"The project is unique, as it covers just 35 companies and will be concluded with integrated introduction of both standards," Mammadov said. A new system of management will be created with the introduction of new standards in JSC.

The implementation of the project is planned within 14 months. In March 2011 it's planned to complete all works within the project and appeal to Certification authority, which will conduct audits and can provide the JSC with certifications. Selection of an auditor will be held based on the tender. As an example, Mammadov called certification companies such as Bureau Veritas, SGS, PriceWaterhouse & Coopers, which may be invited to participate in the tender.

Within implementation of the project the JSC holds presentation of ISO 9001/14001 procedures for representatives of enterprises of Azerenergy Aug.6.

Mammadov said in October JSC plans to collect coordinators and auditors to conduct a second presentation. Also it's envisaged to hold a separate training for coordinators and auditors.
