Today, the route via Turkey has the advantage in the transportation of Iranian gas to Europe.
But Ukrainian officials have also expressed willingness to export Iranian gas to the European Union, Asker Suheylipur responsible for the transportation of Iranian gas for export said, SHANA agency said.
"Transportation of Iran's gas to Europe through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine can become an alternative route," Suheylipur said.
He said that at the moment Iran is conducting expert studies, besides Turkey, and other options to transport its gas to Europe.
Today Iran has all the necessary conditions for the implementation of "swap" - operations and transportation of gas with participation of four Caspian countries.
Suheylipur added that there are no problems in "swap"-operations for gas between Iran and Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan supplies gas to Iran. In its turn, it supplies gas to the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, located in the blockade as a result of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
