Statistics Committee: Uzbekistan produces industrial production for 15.4 trillion soums in January-June

In the first half of 2010 Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 15 trillion 441.1 billion soums, or more by 8 percent compared to the same period of 2009, the State Statistics Committee said.

According to the State Statistic Committee, share of the fuel field in the total industrial production made up 20.1 percent compared to 22.7 percent in January-June 2009, engineering and metalworking industry 15.7 percent (15.1 percent), light Industry - 14.0 percent (13.2 percent), food industry- 12.3 percent (11.1 percent),  ferrous metallurgy -11.7 percent (11.0 percent), electricity - 9.0 percent (8.9 percent ),  chemical and petrochemical industry 4.7 percent (5.0 percent), woodworking and pulp and paper industry 1.0 percent (0.9 percent), construction materials 4.5 percent (4.6 percent), non- ferrous metallurgy - 2.5 percent (2.6 percent), other fields 4.5 percent (4.9 percent).

Last year Uzbekistan produced 25.9 billion KW per hour of electricity (more by 3.1 percent compared to last year), 9.6 million Gcal of thermal energy (down by 1.1 percent), 1.9 million tons of oil and gas condensate (down by 19.7 percent), 692,500 tons of petrol (down by 12.4 percent), 588,300 tons of diesel fuel (down by 1.2 percent), 185,300 tons of furnace fuel oil (down by 34.2 percent), 181,900 tons of kerosene (down by 8 percent), 127,300 tons of lubricants (down by 6.8 percent), 125,200 tons of liquefied gas (down by 0.9 percent), Natural gas production reached 30.548 billion cubic meters (down by 3.8 percent).

In January-June  the country produced 379,500 tons of steel (with a rise of 1.1 percent) and 357,200 tons of ready made rolled metal (down by 0.5 percent).

In the chemical and petrochemical industry production of synthetic ammonia reduced by 0.7 percent to 670,300 million tons, production of mineral fertilizers - by 2.8 percent to 557,100, carbamide by 5.6 percent to 259,300 tons, means to protect planting by 4.6 percent to 2,040 tons, sulfuric acid increased by 15.7 percent to 613,500  tons, fibre and chemicals by 35.2 percent to 79,660 tons, soda ash  by 17 percent to 46,900 tons.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in the first half of 2010 enterprises manufactured 102,600 cars (with an increase of 13.6 percent), 415 trucks (with an increased of 29.3 percent), 627 buses (drop by 6.3 percent), 12,780 tractors (with an increase of 13.5 percent), 100,170 refrigerators and freezers (rise by 5.4 times).

In the field of construction materials the production of cement rose by 0.1 percent to 3.455 million tons, asbestos sheets decreased by 25.4 percent to 163,500 million, conditional tablets, assembled concrete structures by 20.4 percent to 65,800 cubic meters of products, production of window glass in two millimeters calculation increased by 37.7 percent to 5.599 million square meters.

The light industry enterprises of Uzbekistan introduced production of cotton fibers by 2.8 percent to 638,600 million tons, knitwork by 39.4 percent to 24.4 million pieces, carpets and carpets products by 94.8 percent to 294.1 million square meters, raw-silk threads by 4.1 times to 104,500 million tons, cotton seeds by 49.1 percent to 98,400 tons,

According to the Statistics Committee, the food industry manufactured 6,700 tons of milk and diary products (drop by 31.1 percent), 150,000 tons of sugar (rise by 15.1 percent), 103,300 tons of vegetable oil (dropped by 11.1 percent), 493,500 tons of flour (drop by 26.9 percent).

In the first half-year the country produced 4.61 million dal vodka and alcoholic beverage products with an increase of 6.2 percent, 909,000 dal of wine with a drop of 17.4 percent, 13 million dals of beer with an increase of 22.6 percent, 6.762 billion cigarettes and papyruses with a rise of 11.6 percent.

In 2010 the government plans to facilitate growth of industrial production in the volume of 8.3 percent compared to 2009.
