SOCAR Georgia Petroleum opened a new petrol station under SOCAR brand in the village Gizilhadzhili of Marneuli, in the place of compact residence of Azerbaijanis, on Monday, SOCAR said.
The total number of petrol stations under SOCAR brand reached 46 units after commissioning of new petrol station.
SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev, SOCAR investment department head Vagif Aliyev and SOCAR Energy Georgia head (represents the interests of SOCAR in Georgia) Mahir Mammadov attended the opening of the petrol station. Other officials and public representatives attended the opening ceremony.
SOCAR plans to increase the number of petrol stations in Georgia up to 60 units by the end of this year.
Co-founders of SOCAR Energy Georgia are: SOCAR - 51 percent, Petro-Trans FZCO - 24,5 percent and Ivan Chkhartishvili - 24,5 percent.
