SOCAR completes over 55 percent of operations within high-debit production well drilling on Caspian Sea

At present, the depth of high-output production well at the offshore field "8 March" in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea is over 3200 meters, a source in SOCAR said. The designed depth of the well is 5,800 meters.
"At present, the well depth, which is located on the "8 March" field, is more than 3,200 meters," the source said.
According to the source, drilling continues in the normal mode, and it will be commissioned early 2011.
Estimated daily debit of the well is about 350,000 cubic meters of gas and 40 tons of condensate.
At present, over 400,000 cubic meters of gas is extracted from the "8 March" field. The Company's geologists have already defined nine points for further drilling, SOCAR said.
There are 59 oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan. About 8 are offshore, others - onshore.
