Iran's domestic oil products market is fully provided for by domestic production, Mehr news agency quoted deputy oil minister and managing director of the Iranian National Petrochemical Company, Abdolhossein Bayat, as saying.

Iran's six oil-refining complexes produce about 19 million liters of gasoline of Super brand per day, Bayat said.

The majority of exports of petrochemical products was reduced in order to ensure gasoline production at the six oil refineries in Iran.

He said Iran has exported around 9.3 million tons of petrochemical products from March to date. The Iranian year begins on March 21.

Although some foreign companies dealing with gasoline supply abused the situation after the imposition of sanctions against Iran and stopped gasoline supplies, a lack of petrochemical products in the country has not been reported.

Economic sanctions against Iran have been shown to be ineffective, Bayat said.

Some foreign companies have expressed willingness to continue to supply gasoline to Iran as usual, Bayat added. The possibility of using other petrochemical complexes for gasoline production if needed is being considered.
