SOCAR will sell two batches of oil, totaling 215,000 tons from the Russian port of Novorossiysk in October. Oil from Novorossiysk will be shipped in two batches, one - 135,000 tons, the second - 80,000.
Over 3.6 million tons of oil will be shipped in October from Novorossiysk.
Today Azerbaijan receives Urals oil (at the port of Novorossiysk) due to mixing with oil from other manufacturers while transporting oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
In 2009, SOCAR pumped about 2,5 million tons via the northern pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk compared to 1.2 million tons in 2008. In 2010, SOCAR plans to pump 2.25 million tons of oil through the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
