A decision was made to create OJSC Tatneft's office in the form of a branch to manage and render services in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan, the company said.
This decision was taken at the next meeting of Tatneft Board of Directors in Kazan (Tatarstan) on September 30.
Last week, Annaguli Deryayev, chairman of Turkmenneft state concern, visited Kazan to familiarize with production facilities, technologies, Tatneft oil drilling equipment.
The parties signed a contract in August 2010 to provide services aimed at improving oil recovery of existing wells and further exploiting the potential for oil extraction on Goturdepe field in western Turkmenistan. The contract duration is 7 years.
Tatneft also participates in tenders for the service work, the introduction of advanced techniques and technologies in the field of oil production and overhaul on Turkmenneft's deposits.
