"Azerenergy" (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan) consumed more than 4.2 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in January-August, the company said.
According to the report, charges for the consumed electricity during the eight months amounted to about 87 percent, or 6,1 percent more than last year.
In August, the consumption of electricity hit 521.7 million kilowatt-hours. Payment for the used electricity in August amounted to more than 94 percent, or 8.7 percent more than the same period of last year.
