SOCAR-AQS Ltd began drilling new wells in the shallow part of Guneshli deposit in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, a statement said. The well is drilled from Gunashli-13 platform.
A deep-sea part of the deposit is being developed by SOCAR and the consortium of foreign companies.
According to the report, the design depth of the well is 3,500 meters. A new well will be drilled in December this year. The well is drilled upon SOCAR Azneft production association's order.
A new well is the eleventh one drilled on the Guneshli-13 platform.
