Iran has completed construction of a 611-kilometer gas pipeline aimed at connecting the gas transport system of Turkey within gas supplies to Europe, Mehr news agency reports.

Iran has completed construction of a 611-kilometer gas pipeline aimed at connecting the gas transport system of Turkey within gas supplies to Europe, Mehr news agency reports.
 
In August 2010 National Iranian Gas Export Company (NIGEC), and the Turkish company Som Petrol signed an agreement worth approximately one billion euro to continue construction of the sixth Iranian gas pipeline (Dehgolan - Bazargan), which allows exporting gas to Europe. Under the agreement, the share of investments of Turkish company was 77 percent (754 million euros).
 
 The length of the sixth pipeline should be approximately 1,300 kilometers.
