Number of tanks for compressed natural gas storage increases in Iran

The number of tanks for compressed natural gas (CNG) doubled in Iran this year to 1,440 units compared to last year, and 500 tanks are at the design stage, the head of the National Iran Oil Product Distribution Company (NIOPDC), Farid Ameri, said today.

"By late this year, we intend to increase a number of the CNG tanks to 1,700," Amiri said.

At present, the NIOPDC with the Millet bank, has created 1,225 sites for payment for gas supply to consumers through electronic online payment.

The National Iran Oil Product Distribution Company (NIOPDC) was established in 1928. The organization is engaged in supplying and distributing oil products throughout Iran.
