SOCAR used about 7.7 billion cubic meters of gas to meet the domestic needs of Azerbaijan and export operations in January- September, a statement said.
According to the report, more than 6.56 billion cubic meters were delivered to industrial enterprises, population and Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the regions of Azerbaijan). The remaining amount was spent to provide export operations with Russia and Georgia, as well as natural gas with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
About 8.4 billion cubic meters of gas were supplied to the gas system of the country by SOCAR in January- September. It is 704.3 million cubic meters more than forecasted. About 638.7 million cubic meters of gas were pumped to provide the gas industry, population with gas. Over 1.3 million cubic meters of gas were pumped to gas storages.
Over 263.6 million cubic meters of gas were delivered to supply the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with gas in January-September. In September the figure was about 19 million cubic meters.
