Romanian "daughter" of the Kazakh national company "KazMunayGas" - "Rompetrol" is going to increase its producing capacity to 5 million tonnes per year from the end of the next year, general director of Rompetrol Sadvakas Meraliyev reported.

"After one year, on October of the next year we are going to complete the modernization of the plant and from November of 2011 to reach wholly the balanced volume of refinement equal to 5 million tonnes of oil per year", said Meraliyev.

According to him, the volume of refinement until the end of the next year due to preliminary calculations will be 3 million 600 thousands or 3 million 700 thousands tonnes.

"On September 20 of this year the plant was passed to complete overhaul, which is to be continued for 42 calendar days. According to the Romanian legislation complete overhauls are held every five years. The previous one was held in 2005", - he said.

However, as Meraliyev said, there are plans for transferring into 8-year cycle of holding complete overhauls.

According to him, all oil refined at Rompetrol is one of Kazakh origin, which is being delivered there by tankers. He reminded that two years ago a new oil terminal, which is capable to accommodate tankers of bigger tonnage, was put into operation.

"The new projecting oil terminal is functioning in ideal regime. We are relieving tanker with sailing approach and departure, final approach and customs examination for only one day, 24 hours. As a result we unload 85 thousands of oil per month", - the general director said.

Until the end of this year 3.5 million tonnes of oil are going to be transported to the new oil terminal, and four hundred tonnes  - to the smaller one. In whole it will equal to near four million.

"We are having negotiations with other companies on the accommodation of tankers now, because we have cheaper rates and services. This issue is on the stage of negotiations now with LUKOIL and Petrom", he said.
