Petrochemical products sale amount in Iran increases by 40 percent

Amount of sales of petrochemical products on the domestic market increased by 40 percent to 650,000 tons with the implementation of the projects to increase gasoline production in Iranian petrochemical complexes, Shana agency quotes the Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Abdolhossein Bayat as reporting.

Amount of sales of petrochemical products on the domestic market increased by 40 percent to 650,000 tons with the implementation of the projects to increase gasoline production in Iranian petrochemical complexes, Shana agency quotes the Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Abdolhossein Bayat as reporting.

In August-September of 2009, 465,000 tons of petrochemical products were sold on the Iranian domestic market.

In August and September of 2010, Iran's petrochemical complexes sold products in the amount of 1.24 million tons worth $749 million. In the same period of last year this figure hit 757,000 tons and amounted to $398 million.

According to Bayat, for the first six months of 2010 (year in Iran starts from March 21) petrochemical products in the amount of 7.8 million tons worth $6.14 billion were sold in Iran, which is 30 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
