Iranian energy holding intends to implement energy projects in Azerbaijan

One of the largest energy holdings of Iran Sadid Industrial Group, which includes 13 plants, intends to participate in energy projects in Azerbaijan, Advisor to the Holding Director General Valiullah Mahabadi told Trend.

Sadid Industrial Group is engaged in the implementation of projects in oil and gas, manufacturing of pipes and the steel industry for more than 50 years.

"We are very close to Azerbaijan as the countries- neighbors in a spiritual sense and as the countries with close and deep historical roots," said Mahabadi.

Petco Company entering the Sadid Industrial Group is engaged in manufacturing pumps with capacity up to 50,000 cubic meters per hour, and turbines, Petco CEO Masoud Tadjrishi told Trend. These pumps can be used in petrochemical complexes, in particular for supplying sea water. The plant is located in Tabriz.

"We hope to sign a contract and cooperate with companies operation in Azerbaijan's oil sector, particularly with the Sate Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR)," he said.

The company also produces water turbines for small and medium-sized hydropower stations with capacity of 10 megawatts.

"We also hope to sign contracts with Azerenergy [production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan] to implement projects for the creation of small and medium-sized hydroelectric power stations," Tadjrishi said.

Saba Niroo Company entering the Sadid Industrial Group is the only company in Iran and the first in the Middle East engaged in manufacturing wind turbines for power generation and the nanotechnology production.

"Given the extensive experience in the production of wind turbines to generate power, we intend to cooperate with Azerbaijan in this field," Company CEO Nadir Niktabe said.
