Iran plans to increase the cost of the seven types of energy resources in early November, Mehr agency said.

The Iranian government intends to increase the price for petrol, diesel, kerosene, fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas and electricity due to the implementation of structural reforms in the economy and the adjustment of price for energy resources.

At this time, capacity of electric power generated by Iran is 41,000 megawatts while consuming 41.600 megawatts.

A part of the consumed electric power is imported, as the fixed capacity of power plants in Iran is 56,000 megawatts.

At present, the price for electric power supplied to the population hits $0.0158 per kilowatt / hour, industrial sphere - $0.0197, agriculture - $0,002. The average price for electric power per kilowatt/hour is $0.12 in the world.

The price for electric power (kilowatt/hour) using subsidized fuel prices is $0.0794 in Iran.

At present, the volume of natural gas produced in Iran is 600 million cubic meters per day. The price per cubic meter of gas for the population is $0.0095, agriculture - $0.0151, education facilities - $0.0086, manufacturers of bakery products - $0.046, oil refineries and petrochemical plants - $0.0151, power plants - $0,0047.
