The State Concern Turkmenneft extracted over four million tons of oil from January to September 2010 that exceeds the figure in 2009, the company said today.
According to the company, 454,600 tons of oil was produced in September 2010, which is 16 tons more than in September of 2009. There are two oil refineries - in the city of Turkmenbashi and Seydi.
Drilling operations are also successfully being carried out. Since early 2010 over 152,000 meters of headway have been drilled, which is also higher than the last year's figures for the same period.
According to the plans for the current year, the State Concern Turkmenneft undertook to achieve growth in oil production by five percent, compared to the previous year.
