In December, SOCAR will sell two batches of oil, totaling 170,000 tons from the Russian port of Novorossiysk. Oil from Novorossiysk will be shipped in two batches, 85,000 tons each.
About 3.4 million tons of oil will be shipped in December from Novorossiysk.
Today while transporting the oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk, Azerbaijan receives Urals oil due to mixing with the oil of other producers (in the port of Novorossiysk).
In 2009, SOCAR transported about 2.5 million tons via the northern pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk compared to 1.2 million tons in 2008. In 2010, SOCAR plans to pump 2.25 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk.
