Kazakhstan plans to establish production of machinery and spare parts for oil and gas industry

Kazakhstan plans to establish production of machinery and spare parts for oil and gas industry and to build an oil and gas machine-building plant, MP Meiram Pshembaev, president of the Kazakhstan Engineering Workers' Union, said today at a meeting of Kazakhstan Union of Engineering Companies in Astana.

"From next year it is planned to strengthen collaboration with the KazMunaiGaz National Company and the oil companies LUKOIL and Chevron in this regard," said Pshembaev.

According to him, in March 2011 Kazakhstan will host international conference on oil and gas engineering, with the participation of oil companies Chevron and Agip, in which it planned to discuss the establishment of oil and gas machine-building in the country.
