The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) started drilling of new oil wells in the Pirallahi-deniz Island, the company reported on Wednesday.
The drilling will be carried out from platform No. 1100. Its commissioning is planned for March this year. The well will be operated by Oil and Gas Production Union Absheronneft.
According to the estimates of geologists, daily production rate is 7 tons of oil. Fourteen wells are expected to be drilled on the platform.
