The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) plans to commission an ecological park in the territory of Z. Tagiyev Oil and Gas Production Union in mid 2011, SOCAR Environment Management said.
"The work on creation of the park is close to completion and it will be commissioned in mid 2011," the report reads.
The most of the work has been finished in 2010.
About 40 percent of the park's needs in electricity will be provided through alternative energy sources. The four wind turbines were installed in the park for generating power with capacity of 10 kilowatt-hours each, as well as solar panels with total capacity of 20 kilowatt-hours.
The total volume of electricity, to be generated through alternative energy sources, is 60 kWh.
In particular, SOCAR intends to plant seedlings in the park to meet the needs of its business units.The ecological park covers 9.3 hectares.
