On Tuesday, the Atyrau polyethylene pipe plant held a ceremony of launching the production of composite metal-plastic pipes used in heating and hot water systems, KMG said.
"The production will stimulate domestic producers to expand the range of products, open new productions and create additional jobs," Chairman of KMG Board Kairgeldy Kabyldin said at the opening ceremony.
The company said that the design capacity is 2,000 tons of pipes with diameter of 12-110 mm per year.
Expanding the production up to 17 tons of units per year will reduce imports of similar products from abroad.
