Turkey imports over 3.5 billion cubic meters in Jan.

In January, the Turkish state pipeline company Botas imported about 3.84 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey from various sources, a statement posted on the official website of Botas said.
Botas imported about 32.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey in 2010 compared to about 33.6 million cubic meters in 2009. Turkey imported about 37.8 million cubic meters in 2008.

About 57 million cubic meters of gas fall to Botas's export operations in. Roughly 660 million cubic meters of gas fall to export operations last year compared to 721 million cubic meters of gas in 2009. The country exported 443 million cubic meters in 2008. This figure was 31 million cubic meters of gas in 2007.

About 4.14 billion cubic meters of gas were sold in January on the Turkish domestic market.

Roughly 31.46 billion cubic meters of gas last year compared to more than 32 billion cubic meters of gas in 2009. More than 36 billion cubic meters were sold on the Turkish domestic market in 2008. This figure amounted to 35.1 billion cubic meters in 2007.
