In 2011, CJSC "Ekol muhendislik xidmetleri" will work on the reclamation and remediation of two industrial areas owned by the Balakhanineft Oil and Gas Management, the company reported. The project area includes 23.7 hectares of oil-contaminated land.
According to the monitoring conducted under the first phase of the project, the territory has more than 124,900 cubic meters of oil sludge, more than 70,300 cubic meters of industrial waters. Depending on the parameters of contamination, the company provides transportation and utilization of 98,700 cubic meters of oil sludge.
The implementation of this project, as well as the release of the surrounding settlements from polluters, will have a positive impact on improving the ecological condition of adjacent areas.
The co-founders of Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri, which was created on March 1, 2006 to solve environmental problems on the Absheron Peninsula, are SOCAR (51 percent) and Lancer SA Services (49 percent).
