The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) increased its employees' wages from 5 to 15 percent on April 1, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said.

He said SOCAR adjusts wages annually. This year the company adjusted the wage again, agreeing on April 1 to increase the company-employees' wages based on their spheres, from 5 to 15 percent.

Commenting on the illegal construction in the company's territories Abdullayev said that SOCAR works to prevent the construction of residential houses in the territory of oil-polluted fields.
SOCAR head urges citizens not to engage in construction in these territories, because the company will eliminate these buildings. In particular, this concerns buildings, preventing the conduct of technological work in the fields.

Abdullayev said the government in this regard has created a commission, whose decisions will be fulfilled by SOCAR.

"Now we expect the government's decision," he said.

Abdullayev said the construction of houses in the territory of fields is dangerous. From an ecological point of view, this represents a danger for citizens living in these houses. Also the safety of these persons cannot be guaranteed.
