The volume of oil transportation through the network of main oil pipelines of JSC "KazTransOil" amounted to 13.4 million tons of oil in January - March 2011 compared to 12.87 million tons during the same period of 2010, KazTransOil official website reported. In 2010 52.5 million tons of oil was transported through the network of main oil pipelines compared to about 50.9 million tons in 2009.
The cargo turnover through the network of main oil pipelines of JSC "KazTransOil" in 3 months of 2011 was equal to 8.82 billion tons per km.
The volume of oil transportation via main pipelines of KazTransOil to oil refineries of Kazakhstan increased compared to last year. During January - March oil transportation for refining at oil refineries amounted to 3.06 million tons, which is 18,000 tons more than the same period of 2010.
In January-March the volume of oil transshipment through the "Atasu-Alashankou" pipeline amounted to 2.8 million tons compared to 2.45 million tons during the same period of last year.
In January-March, the transit of the Russian oil via the section of "TON-2", located on the territory of Kazakhstan, amounted to 1.38 million tons, which is 39,000 tons more than the same period of last year.
