Azerbaijan, Baku, May 4 / Trend, E. Ismayilov /
The decision on exactly who will deal with the preparation of a waste management program of the Azerkimya Production Unit of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will be taken after receiving the results of research and monitoring carried out in enterprises owned by the Production Unit, a source in SOCAR said.
He said that the chance that a foreign company will take part in the preparation of the program is not excluded.
Research and monitoring in enterprises has not yet been completed, as this is a complex stepwise process, the source said.
"After completing all research, a final decision will be taken regarding preparation of the waste management program of Azerkimya," the source said.
As the source said earlier, after due preparations, the program SOCAR with the joint help of ecologists, will identify which waste is suitable for utilization, recycling and conservation.
Azerkimya Production Association is owned by SOCAR and is Azerbaijan's largest chemical products producer. At present, SOCAR works on modernization of the petrochemical complex in order to improve product quality, expansion of product range and development of the sphere of production of finished consumer products from the chemical raw materials.
