The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) jointly with the Gulf Geophysic FZE (UAE) has created a closed limited company SOCAR Gulf, the Azerbaijani Tax Ministry reported today.
The new company's authorized capital is 100,000 manat.
The company's representative is Vasif Abdulkerimov.
SOCAR is the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.
In 2010, oil and gas producing departments of SOCAR extracted 7.28 million tons of oil and over 7 billion cubic meters of gas.
SOCAR and foreign partners are involved in such major projects as the development of the block of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil and gas fields and the Shah Deniz gas condensate field in the Caspian Sea.
