Azerbaijan publicizes 14th EITI report

The Multi-stakeholder Group (MSG) on implementation of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) has endorsed the 14th EITI report on Azerbaijan. The report passed audit by the international accounting firm Moore Stephens, the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAZ) reported.

The Multi-stakeholder Group (MSG) on implementation of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) has endorsed the 14th EITI report on Azerbaijan. The report passed audit by the international accounting firm Moore Stephens, the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAZ) reported.

The report covered revenues in the extractive industries of the country in 2010.

Based on the report, the government was delivered by foreign companies 215.39 million barrels of oil and 1.906.812bln cu m of gas and 3,482,963,634 of cubic meters of associated gas. The government has also received 8,389 ounces of gold and 5,528 ounces of silver.

The cost of oil specified in the amount of $50.306 million and gas - $268.248 million.
The Azerbaijani government received from foreign companies 780.62 million manat in income tax, 10.347 million in transit payments and $1.494 million in per acre payments.

The government received transfers from domestic companies in the amount of 128.691 million manat of royalties, 230.822 million manat of profit tax, 54.414 million manat of VAT, 18.036 million manat of land tax, 49.334 million manat of property tax, 70.752 million of price difference and 316,000 of other taxes (except income tax, the source tax and social benefits).

The Azerbaijani government received transfers in the amount of 332.395 million and 1.332.985 manat from the oil and gas projects overall in 2010.

The official exchange rate is 0.73 manat to $1 on June 21.
