The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and its partners have set up a working group as part of "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" and "Shah Deniz" field development projects, with hopes of reducing the flaring of associated gas and finding ways in which it may be utilized, SOCAR said on Wednesday.
The decision to set up a working group was finalized at a meeting on "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" fields and "Shah Deniz" gas-condensate field gas management, held in SOCAR.
The meeting also defined key areas of work for the new working group.
